It does seem odd that you would leave less than a 5 star review just because we could not beat your price with the companies we represent. It could have been due to driving record or claims history etc. I imagine the review should be on our service. Answering phones, returning calls, being detailed on the information we gather, and timeliness of getting quotes back to you.

Out of nowhere our home owners insurance company dropped homes throughout Florida and we had to look for new coverage. We made 1 phone call to Rebecca Houpe and she got us all set up, inspection performed, and our home was protected/covered within DAYS of the initial phone call!! Thank you, Rebecca, for handling this so quickly so that we didn’t experience a lapse in coverage!!
Ancient City Insurance has been so helpful with my auto and business insurance. When my teenage son started driving, Ancient city Insurance did the work to get us our best price for auto insurance. When it was time to renew my business insurance, my previous carrier wanted to increase prices and had a list of costly items they wanted done. Once again, Ancient City went to work and got the insurance cost reduced and the list of items reduced to upgrading the hot water heater. I highly recommend them for all your insurance needs. I am the Spiritual Director of the newly forming Center For Spiritual Living First City Teaching Chapter in St. Augustine, FL. After I learned that State Farm was no longer in the "non-profit" insurance business, I contacted Stephanie to see what she could do. After several weeks of trying to see how this, not a traditional church and not a counselor training meeting space, was going to be operating, she found us a company that would quote it. It was new territory for us both as churches are easy as well as meeting spaces. Combining the two was throwing everyone off. She could have stopped at the one that was $1000 but asked me to wait until she heard back from another company that ultimately came in at 50% LESS. Lindsey is amazing! Ancient City cares about their customers. I had an issue with a prior insurance agency forgetting an important detail which delayed our new policy, and I was in an immediate need of a new local agent. She answered the phone and helped me through everything. I was so grateful she was there that day and assisted us in getting the proper coverage. Lindsey also reduced the cost as well. She works hard and is very professional, kind and always answers the phone greeting my name. It’s such personal service I’ve never had before with an insurance agent. If you want a five star company that cares and will work hard to get you the most competitive rates, Ancient City is by far the best in town. Even though I was content with my current home owner’s insurance policy, I asked Rebecca to look it over. She reviewed it and was able to get my family more coverage for less money. Since I was so satisfied with that outcome and how smooth the transition was from one policy to the other (even mid policy) I asked her to review my car insurance too.They weren’t able to beat the price or coverage there, but she did offer me some advice on what coverages to add. Additionally, she mentioned that I had “a lot of claims” on my account. A lot? I had a crack in my windshield filled in last summer but other than I wasn’t aware of any. She gave me a phone number to inquire further. From that experience I learned that every time I called road side assistance (an included service under my current car insurance) they were writing it up as a claim! I was able to take steps to refute and repair inaccurate information on my record; information I never would have even known about without Rebecca’s attention to detail.
I've been with Ancient City almost since Rebecca started the agency. Any time I have an insurance need or issue it's handled quickly and pleasantly. I had tried contacting a number of other local agencies with no good results before I found Rebecca. She is the best in town.
When I suddenly inherited a home in St Augustine, Kelly at Ancient City Insurance was very helpful in getting coverage for my property. In the following years she was always easy to work with and a source of good advice regarding insurance issues.

This agency is amazing. Our homeowners insurance company went bankrupt and gave us less than 30 days to find new coverage. Rebecca with Ancient City Insurance helped us find and home inspector and get a new policy written in less than a week! She was professional, responsive and saved us money our our new policy!!
